
About the Therapist
The decision to seek therapy is not an easy one. Robert aims to make that decision as easy and comfortable as possible. He has a gentle personality with a touch of humor to help make each client feel welcome and at ease. Robert has worked for over 20 years as an educator and coach, so he has a vast experience working with all kinds of people. His experiences have been wide-ranging and offered all kinds of life lessons that he brings into therapy. Robert is an integrated therapist, primarily working from cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, trauma, and narrative therapies. He believes that each person is unique, and the type of treatment should be tailored to meet the client’s needs. Robert works with a wide variety of populations ranging from senior citizens all the way to kids age 16 and up. Robert also works with couples and families aiming to repair, rebuild, and reconnect.
Robert earned his bachelor’s degree from Ripon College with a major in biology and education and a minor in psychology. He earned his first master’s degree from Walden University in Science Education. Robert earned his second master’s degree from Concordia University in Professional Counseling in December 2020. Robert enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and their dog Jack (Black Lab), in his free time. He also enjoys being in the outdoors, reading, fitness, and relaxing while watching a sports game.
